The new Redbridge Cycling Centre (Hog Hill) celebrates the opening of its Pavilion and the North circuit to the public on Saturday May 24th.
To mark this there will be some Youth Circuit racing hosted by Lee Valley Youth Cycling Club. (This race meeting was originally scheduled for the circuit at Ford Motor Works, Dunton, Essex). There will be races for all Youth categories: U16, U14, U12, U10 and U8. Full details of the event can be found here: http://www.londoncyclesport.com/news/article/mps/UAN/4067/v/1/sp/.
The circuit can be found on Forest Road, Hainault, Essex, near the junction with Romford Road. Click the map below for more details..

This is a partial opening of the centre, as a much larger road circuit and a very impressive mountain bike circuit are still under construction, with the opening planned for these a little later in the summer.
However, British Cycling are keen to use the venue as soon as we can, and we have arranged a coaching programme during the coming Half Term week, on Tues 27th - Thurs 29th May from 10am to 3pm daily.
The coaching will be aimed at riders intending to compete in the London Youth Games cycling competition, or in other time trials or circuit races using road bikes. It is for riders aged 10-18, and will cost £7.50 per day.
If you need to hire road bikes this should be possible - Redbridge Cycling Centre has several to hire, at a special price of £4 per day. It will be very useful if you can let me know in advance if you want to hire any, and which sizes you will need, as there are limited numbers in some sizes.
Riders don't have to attend all three days, but of course they are welcome to if they want. However please would you contact me in advance to let me know who is coming, particularly if you intend to bring along any extra riders.
