The VCL was set up in 1964 with the express aim of encouraging young riders into the sport, with an emphasis on track racing at Herne Hill Velodrome , Burbage Road, London, the home of the club. Over the years the club has moved on from being a feeder club, and though track racing is very much its focus, with a number of National champions in its ranks, a wide range of ages and interests are now catered for.
