The Crab and Winkle way is easy and pleasant cycle ride from Canterbury to Whitstable, and we ride it on our Sunday Family rides.

Crab and Winkle Way ride

We plan to have Fish and Chips on the 'beach' at Whitstable, and then cycle back to Canterbury. However there is a station at Whitstable if you want to go home from there.
Meet: 10:30 am at Canterbury West gate, Westgate Grove: Click here for a map of the meeting point
Distance: 7-8 mile ride, one way (1-2 hrs), 15 back to Canterbury - see attached route map
Terrain: Cycle paths through the countryside, some residential roads (quiet)
Stations: Canterbury East or West; Whitstable; Herne Bay: train times can be found here; Ticket Group save deals here
